Musketeer Marketer
Published on December 29, 2009
Musketeer Marketer, like the fourth Musketeer: D’Artanyan was fiercely proud of his heritage, ready to defend the honour of his father’s name, and duty-bound to the king.
Are we not all standing for something?
Thinking a little on the brow-beating marketing style, which apparently works. But each and every conquest has a cost.
However love is something else again.
The high road: transparency, relevance, modeling.
Character is what we take from our father, and if our earthly father failed us, no worries…once through the door we take up the character of our Father on high.
A more excellent way.
So business and marketing doesn’t have to be without honour, nor without a bit of wit. And should the witless show up then a bit of sport before a touché.
Take time to uncover your passion, and even kiss hands of fair ones.
Remember: the King is watching and his eyes see. A wiser, more generous Father I have never met.
This year choose a coach wisely, that is my advice to myself.

Heads will roll
Random thoughts: have I ever finished anything?
Everywhere I go I always come on the scene just before there’s a big revolution.
Okay, so today someone at work was axed. Not me. Well maybe it will be me
Thought it might be me.
So, the VIPs came to access everything yesterday…and I always think everybody’s better than I am. That’s not some kind of false modesty.
I’m not English…but my grandparents were. Never even made it across the ocean. Here I am in the middle of hundreds of waterfalls…btw I flipped out when I saw Niagara Falls some weeks ago. I should be jaded by now, but I’ve been “living in a cave” so everything is brand new.
The weird thing about me is that I always come full circle about difficult people. Eventually you find out something that makes you deeply compassionate.
“Love all, trust a few” sums it up for me and Shakespeare.

This company is doing a great Twitter campaign (funny, about Dorlan at the Beach)…I love yummy advertising. And this video is good…educational. Goes well with salmon eggs, caviar, goat’s cheese, chocolate, walnuts.

Encouragement for your journey away from working a regular day job to working even harder at your own business, but loving it. There are perils along the way just like the book Behold The Dawn. This is the trailer for the book, I found through @KMWeiland on Twitter. She’s a historical writer.

So, people out there are talking about what you are on about (call it DNA).
Asking 12 people “What am I good at?”, this is what they said…
Vivian Chan — What are you good at? – My instinct is your communication skills. You could work well with everyone. You would share what you know to others. You are a good mother and caring.
Anita Yuen — I noticed you were good at customer service, managing multiple requests/task list, evangelism, befriending anyone – hospitality, finding funny things.
Barb Jones — You excel at writing!
Alfons Bemmel — To you, Cathy, there is a mysterious side. You have faced many difficulties in your life and you paid attention and learned from them. This matured you well beyond the ‘ordinary’ person.
You have a deep longing for equality of people and a strong admiration of human kind. You value your friends highly, yet prefer to mind your own business. In other words: you have a genuine loving respect for the privacy of others.
You are open minded and don’t care much for gossip and slander. You’re good at nurturing relationships, yet prefer to keep a low profile. When you need help, you’re open enough to ask and are willing to hear the opinions of others – even if they are disagreeable.
Your best side: you’re a decent Human Being. (And that is much to say about you).
Jake Klinkenberg – Well I think a few things that you are good at is
1. Empathy I think that you are genuinely empathetic although a person may have to pull it out of you,
2. You are given to details . First impressions do make a difference especially if thy are followed up on.
3. You have the ability to be well organized and thought out. ( I also think you are a good cook at least from my experiences!!)
Kum Dhakshina — helping people esp. soothing/calming people
resourceful
Now, crossing off everything that might not be true what is left is: finding funny things. That should be the centre of and platform of the rest of the blog.
Now you do it…you will find the answers very interesting, and you’ll be closer to figuring out what can sustain your interest.

smells so good like honey
All about the basics…
